02 — Family

Four named weights, one smooth axis.

Named instances keep menu lists familiar; everything in between is available as a variable axis.

04 — Install

Install in under a minute.

  1. Unzip the archive (or locate the downloaded variable TTFs in Finder).
  2. Select all font files, then double-click one of them and press “Install Font” in Font Book — or right-click and choose Open With → Font Book.
  3. Restart open applications. Brickverse then appears in every app’s font menu.
  4. Homebrew users: brew install --cask font-brickverse will be supported once the cask is published — until then, install manually.
  1. Unzip the archive.
  2. Select all .ttf files, right-click any of them, and choose Install from the context menu.
  3. Alternatively, drag the files into Settings → Personalization → Fonts (Windows 10/11).
  4. Restart running apps. If an app still lists the old font, log out and back into Windows.
  1. Unzip the archive and copy the TTFs into your user fonts directory:
    mkdir -p ~/.local/share/fonts/brickverse
    unzip Brickverse-ttfs.zip -d ~/.local/share/fonts/brickverse
  2. Refresh the font cache:
    fc-cache -f -v
  3. Verify: fc-list | grep -i brickverse
  4. For a system-wide install, copy to /usr/share/fonts/ with sudo instead.
  1. Self-host the variable TTF/WOFF2 files next to your CSS, then declare the family:
    @font-face {
      font-family: "Brickverse";
      src: url("Brickverse[wght].woff2") format("woff2-variations");
      font-weight: 400 700;
      font-display: swap;
    }
  2. Use any weight on the axis — including values without named instances:
    body { font-family: "Brickverse", sans-serif; font-weight: 523; }
  3. Italic loads automatically when you set font-style: italic and also ship the italic file.
